Charitable foundations and organizations of the Russian Federation appealed to President Vladimir Putin with a request to stop hostilities in Ukraine.
The text of the letter was published in her Telegram channel by Nyuta Federmesser, founder of the Vera Hospice Assistance Fund.
“We oppose the military actions that our country is carrying out on the territory of Ukraine. War is a humanitarian catastrophe that multiplies pain and suffering. Its consequences nullify our long-term efforts. We consider the use of force to resolve political conflicts to be inhumane and call on you to cease fire and start negotiations,” the appeal says.
The letter was signed by 19 representatives of charitable organizations, including Chulpan Khamatova, founder of the Podari Zhizn Foundation, Avdotya Smirnova, President of the Vykhod Foundation, and others.
Meanwhile, people continue to sign an anti-war petition on Change.org, created in protest against the operation of Russian troops in the Donbass. The appeal has already been signed by more than 800 thousand people.
Russian and Ukrainian stars also spoke for peace between the two countries.
