President of Abkhazia Bzhaniya recognized the independence of the DNR and LNR

President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya signed a decree recognizing the independence of the republics of the DPR and LPR. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of Bzhaniya.

“Following the spirit of our friendship with the peoples of the DPR and LPR, considering it necessary to be involved in their fate in the future, sincerely wishing our brothers safe and sustainable development, today I signed decrees recognizing the independence of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the independence of the Luhansk People’s Republic,” announced the president, adding that he instructed the government of the republic to start preparing for the conclusion of interstate treaties on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance with the republics and the establishment of diplomatic relations with them.

The Republic of Abkhazia is a partially recognized state that declared its independence in 1994. The most influential of the countries that recognized the independence of Abkhazia is Russia. Also, the independence of Abkhazia was recognized by partially recognized and unrecognized states, including the DPR and LPR.
