On March 7, the National Day of Peru at Expo 2020 Dubai and our pavilion, which has already exceeded one million visitors, is ready to surprise the international public with artistic and folkloric performances by the National Folkloric Ballet, our culture will be represented by traditional dances such as the Huaylarsh carnival, Wallatas, Wititi and Io Patati.
On the occasion of National Day, an emotional musical journey will be presented that will recount the history and experiences of the Afro-Peruvian and Afro-Andean people of southern Peru. The celebration, the landó, the zamacueca, as well as the cheerful and showy footwork of the Atajos de Negritos dances, will be the protagonists of the show that the famous Ballumbrioso Brothers will present in Dubai. The conjunction of music, songs, and dances will send a positive and united message from our country to the world.
The Peruvian celebration will be closed with a flourish thanks to the privileged voice of our soprano Sylvia Falcón. Also, throughout the National Day, the Peru pavilion will delight the Emirati public of all ages thanks to its demonstrations and tastings of Peruvian cuisine, including national fruit smoothies and Peruvian coffee.
