Five detainees and intermittence on the roads of the Cayambe sector, according to a preliminary report from the National Police

In the morning a closure of the Panamericana Norte highway, at the height of Santa Marianita de Pingulmí, near Cayambe.

As reported by the police, in several points there was no presence of protesters, only material unloaded by dump trucks that obstructed the traffic, but they were leaving the place. Most are already clear.

The National Association of Producers and Exporters of Flowers of Ecuador (Expoflroes) published on their social networks images of various roads in Cayambe that were blocked by protesters. One of the hampered points is on the Otón parish road, located south of the canton. Another was on the Granobles bridge, on the Cayambe – Tabacundo road.

A video of a policewoman also circulated on social networks denouncing that a girl was victim of sexual abuse while walking down the road because of the stoppage.

This newspaper confirmed that version of the National Police, as they commented, the woman was transferred to a hospital by agents. At the scene, they provided physical and psychological assistance to the victim. They are waiting for the clearance of traffic to transfer the patient to Quito and confirm the type of crime committed. (I)
