The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) comply with the terms of the Minsk agreements and do not plan “any offensive operations or shelling of territories” of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR, said the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the social network Facebook, Zaluzhny stressed that the actions of the Ukrainian military “are of an exclusively defensive nature.” He also added that “any harm that may be inflicted on people or infrastructure in the temporarily occupied territories is a provocation,” and blamed the situation in Donbass on Russia, which allegedly “grossly violates the Minsk agreements.”
Also, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that Kiev had addressed the coordinator of the Trilateral Contact Group from the OSCE with a request to immediately convene extraordinary meetings of the working group on security issues and ceasefire violations, which were recorded on February 17.
Recall, earlier it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Lao PDR accuse each other of violating the ceasefire. NSDC Secretary Alexei Danilov accused Russia of “daring provocations.”
