The Scientific Advisory Group on Emerging Dangerous Pathogens (SAGO), which was previously formed by the World Health Organization (WHO) to study the origin of SARS-CoV-2, intends to release the results of its work in the coming weeks. This was announced today at a briefing by the head of the WHO European Office, Hans Kluge.

According to him, the organization expects “some results or recommendations in the coming weeks,” RIA Novosti reports.

As Kluge pointed out, the group is investigating the origin of SARS-CoV-2, and is also working on a special system for determining the emergence of new pathogens.

Recall that in early February, the head of the European Bureau of the World Health Organization did not exclude that thanks to vaccination and the strain of the coronavirus “omicron”, which does not cause a severe course of the disease, a “long period of calm” will soon come in the region.

We also add that, according to the American Johns Hopkins University, the number of registered cases of infection with coronavirus COVID-19 in the world on the morning of February 15 reached 413 million 480 thousand 802, and since the beginning of the spread of the virus in the world after infection with COVID-19, 5 million 826 have died thousand 378 people.
