Even if Netflix is best known as a streaming service, the online platform has expanded its empire with a podcast channel called You Can’t Make This Up. It presents thematic episodes which focus on the series of the service, such as The Crown: The Official Podcast Y Surviving Hawkins.
Now, the entertainment giant has just launched a new podcast series to accompany its Documentary film The Tinder scammer (The Tinder Swindler). The three-part audio miniseries, titled The Making of a Swindler will capture the attention of true crime enthusiasts and dig deeper into the scammer’s modus operandi simon leiev.
The episodes were produced by RAW-TVthe same team that worked on the documentary, and are presented by the director Felicity Morris and the producer Bernadette Higgins. They are in English.

Episode Zero
The first episode, which is actually episode 0 and was released on February 7, introduces us to the skeleton of the information that the filmmakers will present about the lies and the people who actively and unwittingly supported Leviev (also known as Shimon Yehuda Hayut). In this section, Morris and Higgins explain that for the film they wanted to focus on the women behind the story and the supposedly sophisticated nature of the con artist.
They also want to illustrate why it is so complicated and cumbersome to prosecute and prosecute fraudsters like Simon Leviev.
Episode 1: The Theater of the Con
Over the course of the documentary, listeners will learn about the entourage surrounding Simon. Who are these people? Are they part of the scam or are they just as victims as the women he cheats on? In this episode they also find out more about the identity of Peter, his bodyguard, and Avishay, his childhood friend and alleged ‘business partner’.
As a surprise, you will hear the story of Jamal, Simon’s driver in London, who three years later still feels a lot of guilt for his participation.

Episode 2: Who is the real Simon?
It’s clear that Simon is a mastermind of crime. But that level of skill requires practice and also some form of pathology. In this episode, Felicity and Bernie try to understand the scammer’s mind and methods. They meet with a forensic psychologist who specializes in con artists to understand what is known as love fraud. They then take a tour of Finland, where Simon was convicted in 2015 and spent time in jail. Although he didn’t learn his lesson, he clearly understood his mistakes.

Episode 3: The Rabbi’s Son
Before traveling around Europe and pretending to be a millionaire tycoon, Simon was Shimon, the son of an Orthodox rabbi from a small town near Tel Aviv. His father was a highly respected member of the community, chief rabbi of Al Israel Airlines for 15 years, and had religious contacts around the world. In this episode, Felicity talks to the Israeli Police officer who has been chasing Simon since 2011 and describes his early scams, when he was working as a babysitter. Later, we meet Rabbi Badush from Brooklyn, whose chilling experience will make you question the origin of this story.
