The prosecutor’s office was urged to check the Bereg. Kurortny” in Sestroretsk.
Earlier, residents of the Kurortny district sent many complaints to the prosecutor’s office and deputies about the next construction of an apart-hotel on the coast.
On behalf of the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, the chairman of the parliamentary standing commission on ecology and nature management and a deputy from the 10th electoral district, deputy of the Legislative Assembly Alexander Khodosok sent a number of appeals to state authorities, including – addressed to the prosecutor of St. Petersburg Viktor Melnik – with a request to check the circumstances of issuing a permit for the construction of the Bereg Kurortny apartment complex in Sestroretsk. It is planned to sell 715 apartments there with a total area of 26.5 thousand square meters. m.
After the appeal of the residents of Sestroretsk Khodosok, the commission’s specialists conducted a preliminary check. From the materials submitted by LLC “Zeleny Bereg” to the CAA, it turned out that the building being designed is intended for permanent residence, and is by no means a hotel. There are no special entrance groups, lobbies, premises for staff, catering, and there will be only standard floors with residential units. That is, under the guise of building a hotel, it is planned to build residential apartments, the deputy suggested.
Meanwhile, Hodosok notes, the placement of a new, in fact, residential facility will create an uncompensated burden on existing social facilities in Sestroretsk, where there is already a shortage of places in schools and kindergartens. There are questions about the transport accessibility of the facility. There is no approved planning documentation for the territory of water supply, sewerage, heat and gas supply.
Meanwhile, according to activists of the Green Coalition, the complex is being built within the boundaries of the territory that has undergone a comprehensive environmental survey to create the Gagarka reserve. Part of the site falls within the protected landscape zone. Trees have already been cut down in violation of the current legislation. The activists complained to the prosecutor’s office about the inaction of KGIOP.
Not only eco-activists, but also residents of Sestroretsk, judging by the comments on social networks, are generally opposed to compaction development on Instrumentalshchikov Street. Sestrorechanes are afraid of an increase in the number of cars in their yards, traffic jams at the exit from Sestroretsk, and an increase in the load on the existing social infrastructure of their city.
