Starting this coming Friday, February 11, Ecuador will change the entry requirements and will no longer require the presentation of a negative PCR or antigen test, In exchange, he will ask for the vaccination certificate with the QR code and in exceptional cases the physical inoculation card against the coronavirus.

This requirement will be required for both passengers entering Ecuador and Galapagos.

The Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works must notify the embassies, the head of the national Emergency Operations Committee (COE), Juan Zapata, announced on Wednesday.

Remember that to enter Ecuador, in addition to the COVID requirements, you must also present your traveler’s health declaration form.

Once on the website, you must enter your identity card number and date of birth.

The page then displays a QR code and the two names and surnames of the immunized person and their identity card number.
