Representatives of the ruling Civil Contract party of Armenia spoke sharply about the statement of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who predicted the accession to the Union State of most countries of the post-Soviet space, including Armenia, which, according to him, “has nowhere to go,” reports News.am.

In particular, deputy Hovik Agazaryan stated that “all sorts of Lukashenkas and Margarita Simonyankas do a disservice to the Russian authorities with their activities.” In addition, he advised the President of Belarus “before expressing such thoughts, visit the Minsk airport, which resembles a pigsty.”

Another deputy of the “Civil Contract” Vagharshak Hakobyan noted that Lukashenka “as the head of state made inadmissible and extremely inappropriate statements”, since “the leader of a partner country has no right to express such thoughts to other partner countries.” Hakobyan recalled the recent protests in Kazakhstan and suggested that Lukashenka “himself perfectly understands who needed and who still needs the Republic of Armenia.”

Recall that earlier the Ambassador of Belarus in Yerevan, Alexander Konyuk, was summoned to the Armenian Foreign Ministry against the backdrop of Alexander Lukashenko’s statements about the expansion of the Union State, made in an interview with Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov.
