The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inamhi) issued a rain and thunderstorm alert bulletin valid until February 8. It is expected that in the coming days the rains of variable intensity with occasional storms will return, with greater emphasis in the interior of the coastal region and the north of the Amazon.
The most important episodes are likely to take place between February 6 and 7. On the Coast there would be rains of variable intensity with a high probability of moderate and strong events, accompanied by electrical storms. In the Inter-Andean Alley, rainfall of light and moderate intensity in the north and in locations near the foothills of the western mountain range.
In the Amazon region, rains accompanied by storms throughout the region, mainly to the north.
