Lack of free time prevents almost half of Russians (42%) from switching to a healthy diet. These are the results of a study conducted by the Zarplata.ru service from January 26 to February 2.
The survey revealed that Russians have a lot of deterrents to switching to proper nutrition: 42% of respondents do not have enough time to prepare healthy meals, 24% consider proper nutrition too expensive for themselves, they did not find enough information about the benefits of proper nutrition — 9 %, faced difficulties in choosing a company to buy ready-made boxes with healthy food for every day – 7%, TASS reports.
At the same time, 50% of respondents indicated that they always take food from home to work. About 14% of respondents regularly go to business lunches during their lunch break, 23% prefer to eat in the company canteen or canteen, and only 7% of survey participants order delivery.
About 67% of all respondents choose complex meals – hearty, but not focused on health and diet. The preferences of the rest were divided as follows: dishes that are strictly related to proper nutrition – 12%, light snacks – cookies, nutrition bars and so on – 9%, fast food – 7%, vegetarian products – 1%, vegan products – 1 %
Thinking about changing eating habits up to 50% of all respondents. Of these, 38% of Russians do not intend to give up their principles in choosing lunches at work in favor of proper nutrition, the vast majority of these are men.
As for taste preferences, the majority of study participants like to refresh themselves at work with something from the usual Russian cuisine (40% of respondents). 13% of respondents like European dinners, 1% of respondents arrange a meal with Asian dishes, 44% do not see any special differences in the cuisines of different countries.
