National Society of Industries asks for a change of premier and ministers not suitable for the position

After the formation of the third ministerial cabinet, headed by Héctor Valer Pinto, who replaced Mirtha Vásquez, the National Society of Industries (SNI) called President Pedro Castillo to “Immediately correct the appointment of Valer and unsuitable ministers”.

Through a statement, the organization pointed out that these appointments have generated a political and institutional crisis, which leads to “a serious attack against democracy and stability in Peru.”

“We consider it a serious attack against democracy and stability in Peru to make appointments of people with complaints of violence against women and domestic violence, as is the case of the prime minister, who has even threatened the Congress of the Republic with his dissolution. if you do not receive the trust ”, can be read in the statement.

Similarly, the SNI assured that the cabinet should not have ministers in key positions with investigations for any crimein order not to allow political interference that breaks the institutional command such as the Ministry of the Interior, “because on these rests the maintenance of peace and respect for the rule of law,” they warned.

In the letter, in addition, they continued to address the president peter castlewho was asked the following: “Mr. President, you cannot be governed by informality or by people who are not suitable to lead sectors on which national security, the environment, and the productive sectors depend.”

Reactivation of jobs for the growth of the economy

For its part, the institution, led by Ricardo Marquez, asked the Government for a clear policy of reactivation and promotion of jobs that allows the growth of the economy. In this line, they pointed out that, as a result of the political situation, “the one who suffers the consequences is the Peruvian entrepreneur and the population, who need good sense in the appointments and decisions of the Executive Power.”

Meanwhile, they also called on the head of state to “correct these errors” and begin to govern with stability and growth.

For this reason, “in case he cannot assume this high responsibility”, according to the SNI, they ask him to reflect on the best decision for Peru, “which does not deserve to reach this governability crisis created by its own Government”.
