A judge of Criminal Guarantees granted substitute measures to the official of the Agency for Quality Assurance of Health Services and Prepaid Medicine (Acess) investigated for alleged crime of illicit enrichment.
The suspect was apprehended in a raid carried out at his home in Los Ceibos, in the north of Guayaquil, early on Wednesday, February 2.
This case, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, was opened from a complaint filed by Acess about alleged acts of corruption alerted by users about alleged extortion in exchange for avoiding the closure of medical offices.
