In the Czech Republic, a secret report of the country’s special services on explosions in weapons depots in the village of Vrbetice in 2014 was destroyed. This is reported by Respekt and Czech Radio, citing sources.
According to media reports, the destruction of the document became known when the police requested it for fingerprinting and DNA testing. It turned out that the report was mistakenly destroyed at the end of November, along with some other documents.
It is known that the report was submitted to the administration of President Milos Zeman in April. It was prepared by the Security and Information Service (BIS) of the country. The report claimed that Russian special services were involved in the explosions.
The Czech police launched an investigation.
Recall that a series of explosions occurred at military warehouses in Vrbetica on October 16, 2014. As a result, two people died. The country’s authorities were accused of involvement in the explosions of the special services. Prague announced the expulsion of 18 Russian diplomats, and then several dozen more members of the diplomatic mission.
