More than 40% of Russians cited salary dissatisfaction as the main reason for wanting to quit their job in 2022. This, according to TASS, is evidenced by the results of a survey by the Zarplaty.ru research center.

The study materials indicate that in the new year, 17% of Russians would like to quit. The main reasons why respondents want to do this are: low wages and problems with receiving salaries (44%), dissatisfaction on the part of superiors with the quality of work performed (15%), staff reductions, closure of the organization (10%). Another 10% of those wishing to quit their job noted a lack of desire to work in a job they do not like.

Other motives include tense relations with management (7%), inability to cope with their job responsibilities (6%), problems with colleagues (5%), disagreement with the company’s corporate culture (3%).

As it turned out, most of the respondents who are thinking about changing jobs this year are in the areas of catering (16%), accounting, finance, banks (14%), sales (12%), among workers (10%), in retail trade (9%), education, science, etc. (8%).

Speaking about industries that seem the most attractive for work, respondents singled out IT – 19%, services – 14%, logistics – 10%. About 5% of respondents expressed a desire to open their own business.

According to the results of the survey, the main obstacles for the country’s residents when changing jobs to a more suitable one are the reluctance to retrain “from scratch” and the fear of losing stability.
