The American company Apple has registered a personal account on the website of Roskomnadzor in pursuance of the law on the activities of foreign persons on the Internet in Russia. This is stated in the materials on the website of the department.
It states that the requirement to register a personal account on the official website of Roskomnadzor was fulfilled.
Earlier it became known that the Singaporean social network Likee, an analogue of TikTok, also began to comply with the requirements of the “landing” law in Russia.
In accordance with the new law, foreign Internet companies with a daily audience of more than 500,000 users must open their authorized representative offices in Russia. Roskomnadzor has already published a list of companies that are required to open representative offices. It included Google, Apple, Meta Platforms, Twitter, TikTok, Telegram and others.
The corresponding law came into force on January 1, 2022. Foreign IT companies that do not intend to establish their branches in Russia will face a fine.
