“Until now, all these statements were unfounded and have not been confirmed by anything,” TASS quoted the Kremlin representative as saying.

Earlier, we recall, CNN reported that the Russian Federation had prepared a task force to conduct an “operation in the East of Ukraine under a false flag.” According to media reports, the Russian military allegedly received training in urban combat and the use of explosives.

Similar publications were also made by The Washington Post, Reuters, Agence France-Presse and Bloomberg.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby also said the agency has information that Russia is already actively working to create a pretext for a potential invasion of Ukraine.
