The chairman of the Patriarchal Commission of the Russian Orthodox Church on Family, Protection of Motherhood and Childhood, Priest Feodor Lukyanov, proposed to ban the concert tour of Rammstein soloist Till Lindemann “I Hate Children” in Russia.
On January 26, the performer will perform in Novosibirsk, on January 28 – in Moscow.
“The creativity of the outrageous artist has a destructive focus. So, as part of the I Hate Children concert tour, he performs the song of the same name and the song I Bless Abortion. In addition, his videos contain cruel scenes of violence with the dismemberment of corpses, therefore, activists from the parent community have taken measures to cancel the concert of the scandalous performer, ”Lukyanov writes on Instagram.
Traditionalists have already drawn up a corresponding appeal to law enforcement agencies with a request to cancel the singer’s planned performances in Russia. The Russian Orthodox Church also urges people to join the flash mob #tillsididoma, which is timed to coincide with January 11, the day of memory of 14,000 babies killed in Bethlehem.
“Let’s work together to convey to the performer that he is not welcome in our country, and we will try to cancel this performance – after all, providing a platform for a German artist to promote abortion to Russian people is unacceptable!” called the priest.
Earlier, the representative of the Coordinating Council for the Protection of Public Morality, Culture and Traditional Family Values, Ivan Kvasnitsky, explained that he himself once saw a video from a Lindemann concert in Paris. According to Kwasnitsky, during one of the numbers, the musician was dressed in a “executioner’s leather apron”, while his microphone was stylized as a knife.
“Everyone says the same argument: “Guys, sorry, this is a closed area, you need to buy tickets there to come to this concert.” But here the thing is such that everything that happens at the concert, it immediately spreads, like circles on water, into all social networks, ”concluded Kvasnitsky in an interview with REN TV.
The single Ich hasse Kinder (“I hate children”) was released on June 1, 2021, was timed to coincide with Children’s Day and filmed in a Soviet setting.
Lindemann himself has two children and a grandson.
