The leaders of Russia, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, China, the United States and France adopted a joint statement “on preventing nuclear war and preventing an arms race.” The document was published on the Kremlin website.
“The People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America and the French Republic consider it their primary responsibility to prevent war between nuclear-weapon states and to reduce strategic risks,” the text says.
“We declare that there can be no winners in a nuclear war, and it should never be unleashed,” the document says.
The further proliferation of nuclear weapons in the world must be prevented, the text says. It is clarified that the nuclear weapons of the Russian Federation, China, the United States, Britain and France are not aimed at each other or at third countries.
Earlier, RIA Novosti, citing a source in the military-industrial complex, reported that the creation of a command and control aircraft in the event of a nuclear war had begun in Voronezh. Such aircraft are intended for the evacuation of the country’s top leadership and command and control in the event of the destruction of ground and satellite infrastructure. The project is called “Link-3S”.
