The Reina Sofía National Art Center Museum of Madrid One of its objectives in 2022 is to attract new audiences, promoting critical knowledge about modern and contemporary art.
The Spanish art center intends to achieve a greater “diversification of visit options” to the Museum in order to attract resources and encourage visits, the Official State Gazette announced this Monday.
As of February 1, The Museum establishes changes in the entry modalities that favor free or reduced costs, although it increases the individual entry by $ 2.2, which in 2017 was established by the Permanent Commission of the Royal Board of the Reina Sofía National Museum of Art Center.
Four years after the entry into force of the Public Visit Resolution, the agency updates it in order to increase its sustainability, an increase in funding aligned with the commitment to public service and an enrichment of the exhibition programming and public activities.
For this purpose, the Museum is considering modifying the visiting regime, with the main objective of updating the current prices of the various types of tickets, maintaining the exemption regime, reduced prices and free hours that “provide the necessary balance to guarantee the right of citizens to access culture ”.
In 2022, general individual admission will be $ 13.6 and includes access to the Collection and temporary exhibitions that, where appropriate, are contemporary on the day of the visit. Although the Museum may establish a different price for the characteristics of the scheduled exhibitions and for the duration of said exhibitions.
The ticket will have different modalities: valid for two visits throughout the year of 20.4 dollars and the individual general bonus, for the purchase of tickets in number greater than 100 tickets in a single sale operation, at 11.3 dollars for each ticket, valid for one year.
The Museum enables the individual entry price reduced to 50 percent for people who carry out cultural volunteer work; members of large families; and museum staff.
The groups will be able to benefit from promotional campaigns to encourage public visits to the Museum and the entry depending on the number will be $ 7.9 and associations, institutions, foundations and schools, which are linked to the Museums, may benefit.
Two of the free access options is the entrance for a special group visit before opening hours and for a guided tour.
In this case, educational groups made up of people studying regulated education to obtain an official degree in Infant, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate, Professional Training, Undergraduate or Postgraduate, groups made up of active teachers, will have the right to free admission, in accordance with current educational legislation, and people with disabilities.
It will also be free for those under 18 years of age; older than 65 years; students between 18 and 25 years old; students over 25 years of age who are studying undergraduate and graduate studies in Fine Arts, Conservation and Restoration, History and History of Art; journalists, people with disabilities of 33 percent or more and members of different associations.
In addition, the museum will establish days or time slots for free access according to cultural or social circumstances, with prior authorization from the Museum Management.
Tickets purchased prior to the entry into force of this resolution will be valid for all purposes and will maintain their price for the day of the visit. (I)
