A young man who was mobilizing on a motorcycle along Avenida Barcelona, in the southwest of Guayaquil, was murdered on Monday night.
The first versions indicate that the 22-year-old man was intercepted by subjects who were traveling on a motorcycle.
The young man received several impacts and tried to escape, but did not resist and ended up in the flowerbed.
Geovanny Argüello, Florida district police chief, said that police officers who were in the area noticed the matter and proceeded to pursue the hit men. There was a cross of bullets, but the perpetrators managed to escape.
Of the last seven murders in Guayaquil and Durán, three would have been committed for robbery
The murdered man had two records for possession and carrying a weapon, according to the police.
Another crime was reported in the Floresta sector, in the south of Guayaquil. There a young man was shot twice. Previous reports indicate that he is a minor.
While in the Durán area, a man was killed with a gunshot to the head.
The crimes of these last hours are added to the seven murders committed during the weekend.
