Russian figure skater Dmitry Soloviev, who became a victim of a beating in Moscow, has been discharged from the hospital and will undergo rehabilitation. It is reported by StarHit.
A spokesman for the 32-year-old figure skater told the publication that the athlete is getting better. He will have classes with a sports rehabilitation therapist.
It is noted that Soloviev intends to return to the ice as soon as possible. He is one of the participants in Tatyana Navka’s “Scarlet Flower” show, which will be held in St. Petersburg from December 30 to January 8.
On December 25, Soloviev addressed the fans. The athlete reported that his condition had stabilized. “I am determined to overcome this injury and hope to return to you as soon as possible,” added Soloviev.
On December 21, the skater was beaten in Moscow by three men when he stood up for his girlfriend, curling player Anna Sidorova. Soloviev was admitted to the neurosurgery department of the Botkin Hospital with a head injury.
A criminal case was initiated against the attackers under Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Intentional infliction of medium-gravity harm to health, committed by a group of persons out of hooliganism”).
