From January to November, more than 5,000 people have been arrested nationwide for driving in that state, according to the records of the Ministry of Government.
The Ecuadorian Transit Commission (CTE) began a series of operations last Monday in streets and avenues of the jurisdictions under its jurisdiction, such as in Samborondón and Daule, particularly in La Puntilla and La Aurora.
“We have intensified operations, especially in Guayas, due to the recent traffic accidents that were registered. Precisely because of the speeding and tentatively due to the consumption of liquor ”, indicates the executive director of the CTE, Carlos Balarezo.
In the first three days of execution of the operations, reports the official, five cases of drivers who had alcohol levels above the allowed limit have been detected.
