Produces: today the closure of bonito fish ends and its exploratory fishing is authorized

The Ministry of Production (Produce) It ended the ban on bonito fish (Sarda chiliensis chiliensis) as of today. This had started on November 8 of this year.

In addition, its exploratory fishing is authorized for a period of 10 calendar days or until 300 tons is reached as the maximum allowed catch during the research activity or that the Institute of the Sea of ​​Peru (Imarpe) recommends it for reasons of conservation of the resource. .

CAN SEE

Through Ministerial Resolution 00443-2021-Produce, Artisanal vessels will be allowed to carry out exploratory fishing as long as they have a valid fishing permit with the use of passive fishing gear and tackle (curtain, pint, and others).

The resolution indicates that the participating fishing vessels whose owners fail to comply with the established conditions will be excluded from the investigation activity, without prejudice to the initiation of the corresponding administrative sanctioning procedure.
