“It used to be more fun and more money”: Putin spoke about the consequences of refusing gas from the Russian Federation, but gave Germany another chance

Russia can still launch the remaining Nord Stream line – it only takes a week, but Germany does not want to. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin; the video was published on Telegram.

He admitted that Russia had redirected gas to other markets. “Of course, when we sold, we got more money, maybe it was more fun. On the other hand, the less we depend on energy, the better, because our non-energy part of the economy is growing at a rapid pace,” Putin emphasized, noting that the Russian Federation has begun to pay more attention to its own gasification.

At the same time, there is still a chance to reach an agreement, the Russian President noted. “In the end, everything depends only on the decision of the German government. “Nord Stream 2” – one line was preserved, despite the terrorist attack,” Putin added. “Unscrew the valve, say: “We want to receive.” Tomorrow they will start receiving. We need a week. But they don’t want to,” said the head of state. According to him, because of this decision in Germany there is a massive outflow of production to countries where energy resources are cheaper.

Let us remind you that on the night of September 26, 2022, a drop in pressure was recorded on one of the Nord Stream 2 lines in the economic zone of Denmark. Swedish seismologists recorded two explosions on September 26 along pipeline routes. On September 30, Putin called the explosion of gas pipelines sabotage. Germany, Denmark and Sweden are conducting an investigation, but they refused to involve Russia in it.

The Nord Stream gas pipeline consisted of two strings with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters. m of gas per year.
