Putin named a way to quickly end the conflict in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, spoke about the situation in Ukraine. A recording of the conversation was published on the TCN (Tucker Carlson Network) reporter’s website. The Kremlin posted a Russian-language version of the conversation.

As Putin said, the goals of the special military operation to protect Donbass have not yet been achieved. “We have not yet achieved our goals, since one of them is denazification, that is, the elimination of neo-Nazi movements,” the Russian leader explained.

Putin recalled that the negotiation process with Ukraine was disrupted after the Russian Armed Forces, according to the agreements, withdrew from Kyiv. “It was in Ukraine that the other side threw out all these agreements and took into account the instructions of Western countries – European, the United States – to fight Russia to the bitter end,” the Russian President said.

He also advocated resolving the situation in Ukraine through negotiations. “But how will we negotiate if he (Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky – editor’s note) banned himself and banned everyone,” he noted.

In addition, Putin revealed a quick way to end the conflict in Ukraine. The Russian leader believes that this can be achieved in a few weeks. “We are conveying to the US leadership: if you really want to stop hostilities, you need to stop the supply of weapons – everything will end within a few weeks, that’s all,” he explained.

The President of the Russian Federation expressed the opinion that over time relations between the fraternal peoples will be restored. “Sooner or later we will come to an agreement,” he said, adding that this, however, “will take a lot of time.”

Let us note that Putin and Carlson reached the top in terms of mentions on social networks. Data about this is provided by TASS with reference to Brand Analytics monitoring.
