Daria Trepova (included in the list of terrorists and extremists – ed.) was found guilty in the case of the death of military commander Vladlen Tatarsky. The Second Western District Military Court sentenced her to 27 years in a maximum security colony.
She was also given a fine of 600 thousand rubles. The court also recovered 16,495 thousand rubles from Trepova. in civil suits.
The court materials noted that Trepova was accused of three counts: terrorist attack, illegal trafficking in explosive devices, and forgery of documents. The prosecution asked for 28 years in prison and a fine of 800 thousand rubles. Trepova herself pleaded guilty to only one of the articles – using a fake driver’s license.
In her last word, Trepova stated that she “had no hatred” for Tatarsky and she “did not wish him death.” She emphasized that she did not know that the figurine that she handed over to the military correspondent contained a bomb – according to her, she thought that a listening device was hidden there.
Trepova also asked to send the case for further investigation and to schedule a second psychological and psychiatric examination.

As investigators established, Trepova, “following the instructions of persons operating from the territory of Ukraine,” brought a figurine filled with explosives to the cafe and handed it to war correspondent Maxim Fomin, better known as Vladlen Tatarsky. As a result of the explosion, the journalist was killed and 52 other people were injured. The victims also filed claims against Trepova, asking to recover more than 41 million rubles from her. as compensation for moral and property damage.
