The Government, in the month of February, will continue to provide some bonuses for certain sectors of the population with the aim of providing financial support in the face of the economic crisis. People may receive up to S/700 if they meet the requirements set forth by the fisherman bonus, rain bonus and teaching bonus.

Second fisherman bonus of S/700
The second fishermen’s bonus, a crucial initiative to support the community of artisanal fishermen, is underway with an amount of S/700. Aimed at more than 47,500 people dedicated to this profession, this subsidy is managed by Fondepes and will be distributed through the agencies of the National bank.
Requirements to access the fisherman bonus
- Formally work in artisanal fishing and not receive benefits from other social programs, according to the Regulations of the General Fisheries Law.
- Be in the registry of beneficiaries of artisanal fishermen approved by Ministerial Resolution No. 00424-2023-Produce.
- Do not charge or receive benefits from other social programs.

Lease bonus or rain bonus of S/500
The Government continues to offer the rental bonus or rain bonus of S/500, a valuable monthly financial aid managed by the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) and the mivivienda fund (FMV).
This benefit is aimed at families whose homes have been declared uninhabitable or collapsed due to natural or human-induced disasters. It allows them to rent a space with basic services for a maximum of two years.
Requirements for rain bonus
- That the home where the affected family lived be declared uninhabitable or destroyed.
- That the property to be rented is in a safe area.
Teacher bonus of S/380
Following the 2023-2024 Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Ministry of Education (Minedu) and the Unitary Union of Education Workers of Peru (Sutep), a new bonus for teachers is expected.
Although specific details have not yet been released, it is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2024. This subsidy represents recognition of the important work of educators in the country.
