The authorities of St. Petersburg spoke about a one-time payment for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad

In St. Petersburg, they approved the amount and procedure for a one-time payment for the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade. As the Smolny press service reported, the governor of the Northern capital, Alexander Beglov, signed a corresponding decree of the city government.

According to the document, 10 thousand rubles will be received by citizens of the Russian Federation registered in St. Petersburg and without a fixed place of residence, subject to confirmation of their last place of residence in the city, among them disabled people, veterans and participants of the Second World War, former minor prisoners of concentration camps and ghettos. The payment is also due to those who lived or were born in Leningrad during its siege from September 8, 1941 to January 27, 1944.

A payment of 5 thousand rubles will be provided to widows/widowers of deceased disabled people and WWII participants, as well as those who were born before September 3, 1945, but do not fall into the category of citizens indicated above.

In addition, 10 thousand rubles will be allocated to Russians not living in St. Petersburg who were awarded the badge “Resident of besieged Leningrad” and the medal “For the Defense of Leningrad.”

Smolny noted that the payment will be accrued automatically in January 2024 to all citizens whose data is contained in the Electronic Social Register of the Population of St. Petersburg system. Persons whose information is not in the automated information system were advised to submit applications to the city district administration and the Social Policy Committee.

Earlier in St. Petersburg, the number of large families who bought apartments thanks to social payments was revealed.
