Polish carriers unblocked one of four checkpoints on the border with Ukraine

Polish carriers have completed the blockade of the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint on the border with Ukraine. As Interfax reports, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Alexander Kubrakov announced this on social networks.

“It has been a difficult job, but it is not finished yet. The border must be completely unblocked, and further blockages must not be allowed,” he wrote.

According to him, from 14:00 Kyiv time (15:00 Moscow time) through the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint, which is the largest point for trucks, stable truck traffic has been resumed. 15 vehicles have passed in the direction of Ukraine, and 25 trucks are being processed in the direction of Poland.

The State Border Service of Ukraine stated that the movement of trucks through this border point is carried out as usual in both directions. According to the department, there are now 1,000 trucks in line at this checkpoint to enter Ukraine, and 100 trucks to leave Ukraine.

The leader of Polish protesters, Rafal Meckler, said on social networks that the head of the commune (Polish administrative unit) Dorogusk, located on the border with Ukraine, intervened in the situation. “They called us from Dorogusk and said that at about 13:00 the head of the commune would dissolve the protest,” he wrote. According to him, the Ukrainian side was warned the day before about the revocation of permission to protest.

Since November 6, Polish carriers have been blocking the passage of trucks at border crossings on the border with Ukraine as a sign of protest.
