Decision-making on bills on QR codes in public places and in transport will depend on the answers to questions that are heard in the society. Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin announced this today on his Telegram channel.
He specified that on December 13, the State Duma will host meetings of the factions. “Representatives of the government will participate in them. Decision-making on the future fate of the bills will largely depend on what answers will be given to the questions that are heard in society, ”the speaker said, promising to inform about the results of the discussion.
Let us remind you that the bill on QR codes in transport, which caused great controversy, was submitted to the State Duma on November 12. According to the document, the sale of a ticket and boarding an airplane or long-distance train can only be carried out upon presentation by a citizen of one of three documents: confirmation of vaccination against covid, a certificate of the presence of a medical outlet, or a certificate of a past illness. Later, consideration of the bill was postponed. And the post of the speaker of the State Duma on this bill received more than 200 thousand comments, most often users scolded the authorities for poorly informing the population about vaccinations, about the situation with covid in general, about the state of health care.
We also add that Volodina recently invited the Russians to discuss the draft law on QR codes in the comments on his Telegram channel, and the speaker’s post received more than 1 million views and over 720 thousand comments.
