Tottus Hypermarkets reported that the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Intellectual Property (Indecopi) ordered the commercialization of the 900-gram Tottus Panettone to cease because it would contain trans fats above the limits allowed by the standard.
The company affirmed that the Panettone Tottus does not violate this rule. However, they indicated that they will abide by the product’s sales restriction and that they will file pertinent legal remedies to reverse the effects ordered by the Indecopi resolution.
