The viaduct, which will be 57.9 meters long, has an investment cost of $ 259,514.

CHONE, Manabi.

At the mouth of the Río Plátano in San Juan del Búa, in the Chibunga de Chone parish, the construction of the bridge began on Friday, December 10, which will be made of concrete and will be 57.9 meters long.

On the first day of the work, the first two metal beams of this viaduct were placed, the longest that the Manabi Prefecture has built in that town. This bridge will replace a wooden suspension bridge, pedestrian, through which the residents passed.

Faced with this work, the inhabitants of the communities near the bridge expressed being “optimistic”, because they consider that their lives “will totally change,” said Carlos Vélez Triviño, 66, who is dedicated to agriculture.

This work will benefit, according to the Prefecture of Manabí, more than twelve communities, including Corval, Valle de Plátano, Las Mercedes, Cristal, Matamba, Cañaveral, Las Palomas, Tres Caminos, El Trébol and Las Balsas, which border the provinces of Esmeraldas and Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas.

The construction of this bridge, financed with resources from the Development Bank of Ecuador, has an investment cost of $ 259,514. (I)
