The Russian governor sent the ex-ambassador of Israel to teach history after the words about the Buryats

Acting Head of the Republic of Buryatia Alexey Tsydenov

The scandal erupted after a statement by former Israeli Ambassador to Russia Arkady Milman, who, commenting on the conflict with Hamas, spoke unflatteringly about the residents of the Gaza Strip.

Milman spoke of the “dirty and unwashed” population of the enclave, who came to Israel “to rape and kill.” He also mentioned the “Buryat, Butcher instinctive hatred of animals.”

The head of the Republic of Buryatia, Alexey Tsydenov, hastened to respond to the ex-ambassador’s comment. He called his words racist and advised him to study history.

“Former Israeli Ambassador to Russia. A person who should know our multinational country and our peoples well spoke out about the Buryats. From his words it is clear that his knowledge is bad, and his education and human values are even worse,” Tsydenov wrote on Telegram.

He added that people are now dying in Israel and the Gaza Strip, and “the words of the former ambassador directly smack of Nazism and racism.”

“All our men from Buryatia, no matter what their nationality by blood, together with their comrades from all over the country, worthily defend our Motherland,” the governor emphasized.

Let us remind you that the conflict between Israel and Hamas escalated on October 7. On this day, the Palestinian movement attacked Israeli territory with hundreds of rockets and captured several settlements. Israel launched a retaliatory operation by blockading the Gaza Strip. Preparations for ground operations are currently underway.
