Most of the new cases were detected in Moscow (3.477 thousand), St. Petersburg (2.267 thousand) and the Moscow region (1.712 thousand).
“On an accrual basis, 9 million 956 thousand 679 cases (plus 0.31%) of coronavirus infection were registered in 85 regions,” the headquarters said in a statement.
At the same time, over the last day, 1,176 deaths were confirmed, and over the entire period in Russia, 287,180 people died from coronavirus.
