The Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) is connecting to the system for collecting data on young people to enter them into the unified military registration register. The corresponding document was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
New powers are assigned to the department by a decree of the Russian government, which is posted on the legal information portal. Information will be collected about school students, college and university students – bachelor’s and master’s students, graduate students and residents who receive full-time education in programs that have state accreditation. All this data will be transmitted electronically by the department to the state information resource, which accumulates information about citizens in order to update military registration systems.
Noting that Russia is modernizing its military registration system. The State Duma adopted a bill on the creation of a unified register of persons liable for military service and the introduction of electronic summonses. As expected, as early as the spring draft of 2024, electronic summonses can begin to be delivered through the State Services portal. At the same time, according to the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Development Oleg Kachanov, the unified register of military records will become fully operational only in 2025.
