“Charlatan”. Leszek Lichota himself came up with the scene in which he appears naked. “Everyone looked at me with envy!”

Leszek Lichota insisted that his Quack, i.e. Antoni Kosiba, appear naked in one of the scenes in the Netflix production. Anna Szymañczyk, who plays Zo¶ka, admits that this is one of the things she will remember most from this film.

The new “Quack” includes a scene in which Lichota, as Antoni Kosiba, bathes naked in a river. When asked what is one of the most memorable moments of working on the Netflix film, Anna Szymańczyk says: “Definitely shooting the scene invented by Leszek Lichota, in which my heroine spies on him while he is bathing in the river.”

In “The Quack”, Leszek Lichota wanted to reverse the perspective typical of cinema

Lichota admits that he wanted to reverse the typical cinematic perspective and show not a naked woman being looked at by a man, but the other way around. The challenge was that the actor had to enter the icy water and pour it over him without hesitation. The actor recalls with a laugh:

The truth is that it was a hot day, over 30 degrees Celsius, so everyone dreamed of being in my place and jumping into that cold water. Everyone looked at me with envy!

Lichota: We worked in such a team that no one was afraid to talk about these ideas out loud

The entire “Quack” team praises Lichota’s involvement in the process of creating the production, which can be watched on Netflix. This is not only about a physical transformation (the actor lost 10 kilograms to look different as Professor Rafał Wilczur and as Antoni Kosiba, and also grew his hair and beard), but also about bringing ideas to the production on how to better define his character. – On this project, I had the opportunity to cooperate with creators who listen and respect the voices of others. They want us to participate in the creation process. Everyone here was deeply involved in this project and everyone wanted a good result, says Lichota. – Sometimes we brainstormed, and sometimes someone just came up with a good idea. Of course, not all of these ideas were accepted – neither were mine – but the most important thing is that we worked in such a team that no one was afraid to talk about these ideas out loud – adds the actor.

Producer Magdalena Szwedkowicz also emphasizes that she found a team of exceptionally open and creative people. – I am happy and very grateful that I could create such a beautiful film together with them. I’m bursting with pride. For me, people are always the most important. The love for the project, which is so visible in this case, gave me a lot of joy. There was no need to convince anyone to watch the film, but sometimes it varies. At work you meet very different people, with different temperaments and motivations. In this case, everyone was wondering what would be best for the film, it was amazing. Of course, I didn’t create these people, it’s all their fault. But I’m proud of our cooperation and that it all worked out, she sums up.
