“Everything is a blatant lie!”

In St. Petersburg, the ex-head of the Freestyle Wrestling Federation, former assistant to the chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee, Vladimir Kulibaba, was sent to a pre-trial detention center. At the first court hearing, dedicated to the measure of restraint, currant bushes, bloody asphalt and the laws of the Soviet era were mentioned.

As reported in the united press service of the city courts, citing the data of the investigation, on August 16, 1993, the entrepreneur planned to kill two people because of hostility to them, for which he attracted two of his acquaintances Aristov and Vladimir Karpinsky as executors, giving them AK- 47U. Their accomplice Anatoly Motyl had to help the killers and clean up the tracks, the prosecution believes. On the same day, the victims were shot at almost 30 times.

“This is not a linden tree. Currant bushes! Everything is a blatant lie! ” – stated in the court of Kulibaba.

The lawyers insisted on the innocence of the accused and asked to choose house arrest, bail or other lenient measure of restraint.

“There is no inscription on the asphalt with blood“ Kulibaba killed me ”,” the lawyers said.

The Oktyabrsky District Court sent the defendant in the case into custody until February 6. For the same period, Karpinsky and Motyl were detained in the pre-trial detention center.
