Myasnikov denied the myth of prolonging youth by fasting

Russians have been warned of the health risks that starvation can cause. TV presenter and Moscow doctor Alexander Myasnikov dispelled the myth that fasting can be a way to achieve longevity.

The physician, during the program “On the most important” on the air of the TV channel “Russia 1”, noted that fasting is contrary to the very nature of a living being. “After all, we breathe, we have peristalsis, our liver works, it warms us up. We spend 75% of all energy lying down, sitting, here we are standing – and at this time it is spent, ”explained Myasnikov.

The teledoctor considers the use of fasting to preserve youth and beauty as an interference with mechanisms that a person does not understand. He acknowledged the benefits of fasting therapy, but stressed that it is “much more difficult than any surgical operation.”

The doctor also warned Russians against starvation, as it can exacerbate chronic diseases.

Earlier, Myasnikov warned the Russians about the non-obvious sign of a heart attack. Also, a well-known TV presenter accused the restless Russians of ruining medicine.
