The American band The Killers issued a statement after a scandalous concert in Georgian Batumi. On social networks, on behalf of the musicians, a message was published in which they apologized for the phrase about “brothers and sisters” uttered at the concert by the band’s leader Brandon Flowers during an invitation to the stage of a Russian musician.

“We didn’t mean to upset anyone and we apologize. We support you and hope to return soon, ”the message says.

At the same time, the administration of the Black Sea Arena concert hall, where the performance took place, also apologized, noting that “the performance of an artist on stage is not the position of the Black Sea Arena.”

Recall that at the concert of The Killers in Batumi on the evening of August 15, the leader of the group invited one of the spectators to the stage and asked where he was from. He replied that his name was Andrey and that he was a drummer from Russia. After The Killers agreed to play one song with him. However, some of the audience began to whistle and express dissatisfaction, in response, the lead singer of the group said that the music “unites”, and all lovers of their music are “brothers and sisters”. Some of the group’s fans left the hall.
