FTC RFU suspended Dziuba for two matches conditionally for insulting a journalist
The Control and Disciplinary Committee (CDC) of the Russian Football Union (RFU) suspended Lokomotiv forward Artem Dziuba for insulting a journalist. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
The striker was suspended for two matches conditionally. In addition, he was ordered to pay a fine of 50 thousand rubles. The head of the committee, Artur Grigoryants, explained that the journalist did not find the football player’s statement offensive.
On August 12, Lokomotiv played a draw with Krylya Sovetov with a score of 1:1. Dziuba did not participate in the match due to injury. After the game, the correspondent asked the athlete to evaluate the forecast, according to which he will score no more than two goals before the end of the year. In response, the footballer insulted the journalist, promising to “put his phone in one place.”
Dzyuba moved to Lokomotiv on February 8. In the 2022/2023 season, he made 12 appearances for the team in all competitions, scoring eight goals and making five assists.
