The State Duma adopted an amendment prohibiting the personnel of the Russian Guard from publishing their photos, videos and other information about themselves, which allow their location, in the media and the Internet. In addition, it is forbidden to publish information about the Russian Guardsmen who were dismissed from service and information about the activities of the Russian Guard troops.
The corresponding amendment was introduced for the second reading of the bill, which allows former National Guardsmen to serve in mobilization in the National Guard troops. Amendments are being made to the law “On the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation”.
The author of the bill, deputy Alexander Khinshtein, proposed to send citizens who are in the reserve and served in the Russian Guard in positions for which special police ranks are provided during mobilization to serve in the same troops in the same positions. He believes that this will make it possible to use the service and combat experience of the former National Guardsmen as efficiently as possible.
Previously, the ban on the publication of photos and videos applied to the military serving in the National Guard, but not to other part of the National Guard, for example, OMON and SOBR officers. Now this rule applies to the entire personnel of the National Guard.
