The security of Ukraine is an integral part of the security of the Euro-Atlantic region, so the G7 countries intend to help Kyiv with the development of the military-industrial complex, intelligence and cyber defense. According to the adopted declaration of the G7 countries, each of them will work with Ukraine on specific bilateral long-term commitments and agreements in the field of security.
Thus, the G7 countries will provide assistance in ensuring security and modern military equipment on land, in the air and at sea – giving priority to air defense, artillery, armored vehicles. In addition, they intend to support the further development of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, carry out training and training exercises for the Ukrainian military, share intelligence information and support initiatives in the field of cyber defense, security, including to counter hybrid threats.
Ukraine will also continue to receive technical and financial support to meet the country’s urgent needs and to enable Kyiv to continue implementing reforms.
Kyiv, in turn, will have to implement reforms in law enforcement, the judiciary, corporate governance, the economy, the security sector and public administration; fight corruption and respect human rights and freedom of the media.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that the obligations of the G7 will come into force only after the end of the current conflict in Ukraine.
