Aston Villa announced this Wednesday (12) the signing of Spanish defender Pau Torres, who was in the Villarreal.
The 26-year-old joins the English club in a transfer worth £35 million (R$ 220 million at current quotations).
Pau Torres was one of Villarreal’s highlights in winning the Europa League in 2021, under the command of coach Unai Emery, with whom he will meet again at Villa.

The defender is the second reinforcement of the Birmingham team in the current transfer window, after the arrival of Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans, who came from Leicester.
Aston Villa will play in the Conference League next season, their first participation in a European competition since 2010, after a run English Championship since Emery took over from Steven Gerrard in October.
