One of these is to advance the booster vaccination to those over 18 years of age, since until now it was applied to health personnel, the elderly and people with immunosuppression.

On Tuesday night, the Ministry of Health published the schedule that applies to these doses that started today with those who were vaccinated for the second dose on May 31.

In the same way, he announced what vaccines will be applied to those who were not inoculated in Ecuador, that is, with vaccines that are not available in the country.

Within the guidelines for the application of booster doses, it is specified that “people with a history of a thrombotic disease, such as pulmonary thrombo-embolism, deep vein thrombosis, cerebrovascular accident, mesenteric ischemia certified by a specialist doctor, it is recommended to perform the dose of booster with the vaccine of the laboratory Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT162b2) or Sinovac (CoronaVac), according to availability ”.
