President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed four heads of district administrations in Kyiv, the relevant orders were published on the website of the head of state.
Zelensky dismissed the heads of administrations of Podolsky, Dniprovsky, Svyatoshinsky and Desnyansky districts of the Ukrainian capital. Zelensky’s decision is connected with the inadequate state of the bomb shelters in the city.
On the night of June 1, during an air raid and explosions in Kyiv, residents of the Desnyansky district could not get into the shelter in one of the clinics – then three people died. After that, checks of bomb shelters began. According to their results, the Minister of Strategic Industry of Ukraine Alexander Kamyshin said that there is no free access to most shelters in Kyiv, 65% turned out to be technically unsuitable. He called the results of the audit “disappointing.” After that, Zelensky announced personnel decisions. Draft orders on the dismissal of several officials were agreed by the Cabinet of Ministers. Criminal cases were initiated, including negligence.
