The Ukrainian court sent Grigory Dashutin, the owner of the NICMAS engineering concern, under arrest, TASS reports.
According to State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine (SBI), “a former deputy and head of the concern, which provided the Russian military-industrial complex with products <…>, a measure of restraint was chosen in the form of detention without the right to make bail. The department did not give the name of the arrested person, but the Ukrainian media report that this is Dashutin, the agency notes.
The State Bureau of Investigation also clarified that “six top managers of the concern were arrested.” Their names are not named.
Information about the detention of the top management of NICMAS was received on June 8. Then the State Bureau of Investigation reported that on February 24, 2022, the concern supplied components to the Russian Federation for more than 160 million hryvnias ($4.4 million). The deliveries included highly efficient components, assemblies, parts of pneumatic equipment, in particular compressors and compressor units. According to the State Bureau of Investigation, this equipment was used in the Russian military industry.
According to investigators, 14 people were involved in the organization of supplies. Six suspects, including Russian citizens, were charged in absentia.
