A bill was submitted to the State Duma providing for the creation of special deposits and accounts for poor Russians. As noted in the document, citizens receiving social support will be able to open such a deposit. The maximum deposit amount will be limited to 50 thousand rubles.
It is clarified that the interest rate should be at least 1% higher than the key rate of the Bank of Russia on the date of accrual. The client will be able at any time to replenish the deposit, partially withdraw or transfer money from it without reducing the rate and charging a commission.
At the same time, you can open a deposit only in rubles, and receive interest only on another account. A citizen can make only one such deposit.
Low-income citizens will also be able to get a special bank account. Opening, maintenance and transactions within 15 thousand rubles. under such an account will be free. Interest will be accrued on the balance of funds within a month at a rate one percent less than the key rate (for a balance up to 50 thousand rubles) or at the rate established in the agreement (for an amount exceeding 50 thousand rubles).
The bill emphasizes that banks will not have the right to refuse citizens in the registration of social deposits and accounts. It is assumed that they will be issued for one year. If the client stops receiving social support, he will not be able to extend the validity period.
