The energy crisis that developed in European countries last year has come to naught, now prices are approaching economically justified levels, Russian President Vladimir Putin believes. It is reported by Interfax.

“I don’t want to go back to what our opponents constantly and a lot were talking about about the energy crisis in Europe, but I want to once again remember who is to blame for this. Yes, there was a crisis. Now prices there, thank God, are approaching economically justified energy prices,” Putin said, speaking at a plenary session of the Eurasian Economic Forum.

At the same time, he stressed that the Russian Federation is not to blame for the development of the crisis. “Who is to blame for what happened? Nord Stream 1 was blown up, Nord Stream 2 was not opened. The Yamal-Europe gas route through Poland was closed. Have we closed? They’ve closed it. Two strings of the gas pipeline through Ukraine – Ukraine closed one of them. We didn’t do it,” the president said.

“We fulfill all our obligations in full. And, of course, first of all, I want to emphasize that we are doing and will continue to do in relation to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Putin added.
